Ms Right
One of the best illustration of egocentrism. And it's not uncommon to see this manifestation.
This is their pattern of occurance - starting off with they are right, right because they feel they are right, right because they know they are right, right because they have been right all along, right because everyone tells them they are right, right because they want to maintain that they are right. Regardless or not they are wrong.
2nd stage goes like this - I have been right in other matters (no matter how remote and irrelevant). So - naturally I am right in this matter.
3rd stage goes like this - it may be so that you are right in your way and I too am right in my way. So - I am still right.
4th incredible stage - you are right in your way, I am right in my way, Everyone cannot be and Noone is right at the same time in the same way. So - there is no such notion as Right. There is only Universal Difference.
5th incredible fallacy - since there is only Universal Difference, i am different from the universe and if I am subjectively right according to myself, I must be Universally Right.
Such egocentricism comes about from the unawereness that there already is a map of the world whether or not they choose to recognize it. Whether or not they think they are walking West when they are walking East, they will arrive in the East.
